O ministro da Defesa, Geraldo Quintão, disse não ser possível confirmar se o grupo que em 26 de fevereiro trocou tiros com militares do Exército brasileiro no Rio Apaporis era formado por guerrilheiros das Farc. Existe a suspeita de que o grupo que entrou em confronto com o exército seja o mesmo que teria, há semanas, agredido índios brasileiros na fronteira com a Colômbia.
