O terceiro grupo de índios kranhacãrores, da aldeia Sul, que ainda estava isolado na região do Rio Peixoto de Azevedo (MT), já está em contato com sertanistas da Funai, que pretendem reunir os três grupos, num total de 160 índios, e transferí-los para o Parque Nacional do Xingu.
