O Ministério Público Federal informou que os caingangues terão mais comodidade para vender artesanato no Cassino a partir deste verão. Pelo acordo firmado com a Prefeitura de Rio Grande, os índios poderão realizar a venda dos objetos no local pleiteado: em frente à Igreja Sagrada Família. A administração municipal comprometeu-se, ainda, a construir dez casas de madeira e um centro cultural indígena.
