Vestidos para a guerra, um grupo de índios pataxó protestou em Porto Seguro contra levantamentos topográficos que estão sendo realizados próximos à reserva indígena de Monte Pascoal. A área, localizada fora da reserva, é ocupada pelos índios. A prefeitura pretende desapropriar cerca de 3 km para fazer loteamento, e ofereceu em troca uma outra área para eles, que não aceitaram.
