Uma mal até agora não diagnosticado vem atacando os índios na região dos Kanamari, no Alto Juruá. A doença foi diagnosticada inicialmente como tuberculose intestinal. Dois dos 50 índios afetados estão sendo seguindo para o Instituto de Moléstias Tropicais de Manaus, onde passarão por novos exames.
