O Rio Uruguai que continua subindo na fronteira Oeste, deixou 1500 índios Kaingang e Guarani flagelados em seis das sete reservas da região do Alto Uruguai. Na reserva de Nonoai, a mais atingida, a barragem de um açude se rompeu, as águas inundaram estradas e destruíram três pontes.
