Os índios Kaingang e Guarani continuam ocupando o Parque Estadual Florestal de Nonoai, com a alegação de que a área lhes pertence. Mesmo o assunto estando sob judice, os índios foram abandonando a área, pressionados pela chuva e pelas precárias condições do local. Restam agora 100 homens no local.
