O vice-presidente da CUT, Avelino Ganzer, encontrou-se em Brasília, no dia 24 de janeiro, com o subprocurador-geral da República Cláudio Fontelles, para discutir o Caso Pankararu. Segundo Ganzer, a CUT está firmemente empenhada em uma solução justa para posseiros e indígenas.
